With New Year’s resolutions here, there’s no better time to get you and your entire family healthy! As a parent and caregiver, you want you and your children to eat well in order to feel great, sleep well, do well in school, work and life. The question is, how do you get your family to eat healthy, with smiling faces and only one meal cooked?

Get your kids on board with eating healthy by taking this interactive, hands-on cooking class for families with kids of all ages.

Join certified health coaches and fellow parents, Kerry Audisho and Marian Mitchell, to learn about the four pillars of health, Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition and to get your family eat well in 2018. Kerry and Marian understand the challenges of active lives, allergies, sensitivities and plain ole picky eaters and will give you the tools and resources necessary to overcome these challenges and feed your family the most healthy, delicious meals that everyone can enjoy.

Learn surprising ways to get your kids eating more vegetables and green leafy food, decrease your family’s consumption of fast food, and save money while eating healthy. All while, increasing concentration, energy, physical coordination, and better moods for your whole family.

Bring your spouse and your kids, or a friend that their kids to create a more balanced and healthy food life for you and your whole family.

You will have the opportunity to make 5 different recipes, take home four of those recipes and taste test one of those recipes right at The Farm. Ingredients will be locally sourced or organic if possible.

Prepared Smoothie

Pancake Mix

Chocolate Avocado Pudding

Overnight Oats

Massaged Kale Salad

Parents will receive “Intro to Healthy Eating for Families” handouts to continue their living healthy journey at home. Children will receive kid-friendly recipes they can make right in their own homes. You will even get access to local farmers which will get you the most nutritious and delicious food within your area.

Lastly, one lucky family will take home a CSA box from a local farm and another lucky family will take home The Dish, Marian Mitchell’s autoimmune and allergy friendly recipe book!

FAQs

Where will the class be held?

Class wil be held in the Family, Friend, Fun area next to Soil & Seed Garden at The Farm. Please check the map at the entrance to the Grove if you are not familiar with the property.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The Farm at South Mountain has plenty of parking. Our main lot is across from The Farm on 32nd St.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

Please bring sunscreen and dress for the weather, as The Farm is an outdoor space.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are not available as supplies will be purchased depending on number of tickets sold.
