DESCRIPTION
Join The Farm at South Mountain and Culinary Wellness Coach Candy Lesher for a one of a kind, hands-on cooking class to create a delicious dishes with simple culinary skills and fresh, organic ingredients.

During the class you’ll learn the fresh, healthy techniques of Black Rice Bahn Mi Bowl – made from antioxidant-rich black rice topped with thin slivers of slow-cooked pork, crisp-pickled vegetables, shredded cabbage, mint and cilantro, then drizzled with a tart/sweet Nuoc cham sauce. For dessert, learn how simple (and simply delicious) a traditional coconut custard can be! (Note – a vegetarian version of the Bahn Mi Bowl made with pickled egg will also be demonstrated!)

Once the class has create these dishes, you’ll enjoy eating at a community table while enjoying the surroundings of The Farm.

About the Chef!
Chef, instructor, restaurateur, editor-in-chief of a food-focused magazine, Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame inductee, and producer/host of her own Telly-award-winning television show – are all part of Candy Lesher’s solid culinary background. A cancer survivor, she became a passionate advocate of nutritional wellness in the home kitchen; as a Culinary Wellness Coach she now helps clients transition to viable, healthier lifestyles by developing both their culinary skills and nutritional mindfulness.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Farm at South Mountain has plenty of parking. Our main lot is across from The Farm on 32nd St.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Please bring sunscreen and walking shoes as The Farm is an outdoor space.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds are not available as supplies will be purchased depending on number of tickets sold.
