She’ll show you how to make lavender sugar and harvest your own culinary lavender buds to take home. She will also demonstrate several recipes, and let you taste samples from her brand new cookbook, The Art of Cooking with Lavender. Finally, you’ll depart with a personal copy of her inspiring, beautifully photographed lavender book to further explore the tempting art of cooking with lavender at home.

Bio:
Nancy Baggett is an award-winning cookbook author, food journalist, hobbyist gardener, and food photographer with nearly twenty books and hundreds of articles to her credit. Her cookbooks include The International Chocolate Cookbook, an International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) Best Baking Book winner, and her very popular The All American Cookie Book, which was both a James Beard Foundation and IACP cookbook award nominee. Her articles have appeared in numerous well-known publications, including Better Homes and Gardens, Country Gardens, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Eating Well, and The Washington Post. She also has dozens of stories, photos, recipes, and cooking videos on her website, www.kitchenlane.com, and lots of lavender-related information, resources, and photography on her all-lavender website, www.nancyslavenderplace.com She has guested on numerous radio and television shows around the country, including NPR’s “All Things Considered-Weekend,” and “Good Morning America.”

All ages welcome, although the agenda is geared for adults.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Farm has parking at the end of the lane or across 32nd street.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Please wear shoes for walking and sunscreen if you need.
